Big Fat Guest Slot of the Year 2008

Updated Fresh from her stint as guest captain on BBC pop music quiz Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Davina's heading back over to spiritual home Channel 4 as a team member on the Big Fat Quiz of the Year 2008, according to audience members who've been to the recording.

Also appearing are comedians Sean Lock and Michael McIntyre, actor and former Big Brother's Big Mouth host James Corden and Claudia Winkleman.

Davina herself will be appearing with Dara O'Briain on the show, which sees three teams of two celebrities participating in a review of the year, hosted by Jimmy Carr.

You'll be able to catch it on Sunday December 28 on Channel 4 at 9pm.

Thanks to daddysgirl.

Davina captains on Buzzcocks

Davina is set to appear as a guest captain on the current series of Never Mind The Buzzcocks.

The BBC Two comedy music quiz will see Davina take the helm of Bill Bailey's old side for one week after he left the show earlier this year.

Team members include singer and reigning Strictly Come Dancing champion Alesha Dixon, Merlin actor Anthony Head and Stereophonics frontman Kelly Jones.

The show is set to air on Thursday 20 November at 9pm.

Thanks to daddysgirl.

Davina's works out a fifth DVD

If you've exhausted all the other fitness DVDs from Queen D worry not -- she's back just in time for Christmas with her new Super Body Workout.

This time around the routine is inspired by her trainer, an ex-Marine, and incorporates elements of military fitness routines. Extras include Super Advanced Abs and Davina on location at an army assault course.

Says Davina: "Hello! I'm back and fitter than ever, and this is all thanks to my new Super Body Workout DVD."

"My personal trainer Mark is an ex-Marine, and runs my workouts like a real Sergeant Major, so we decided that military-style fitness training would be a great concept for the DVD. It's fun and pacey, full of variety and gets the very best results."

"Each routine is completely self-contained and designed to work your whole body. There are two complete 40 minute routines for you to do - and both of them include their own warm-up and cool-down, so no excuses for skipping those bits!"

The disc is released on December 8 and can be pre-ordered from Play, HMV and Amazon -- priced at £12.99 -- right now.

Thanks to forum member Anteater3 for the information.

Davina gets chatty at the NTAs

Despite not making the shortlist for Best Entertainment Presenter, Davina attended the National Television Awards last night as part of the Big Brother crew.

That lost out to Paul O'Grady in the Best Entertainment Show category, but on the red carpet before the event Davina had plenty to say about her life since the ninth series ended in August.

Speaking about E4 series Dead Set, in which plays a zombie version of herself, Davina commented that if she "had a list of ten things to do before I die, being a zombie would be on there" but was modest about her abilities as an actor.

She also confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will return in January after a year's hiatus.

She said: "I'm so happy it's back and I think it was right to rest it and you know, it was the right thing to do, but now it's back and we're so excited."

As far as celebrity housemates go, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton would be on her wishlist -- "anybody that's going to be interesting and entertaining to watch."

She continued: "I'd love some old hip hop star like Flavor Flav or Chuck D, someone renegade, do you know what I mean?"

And it doesn't look like Davina will let go of Big Brother anytime soon. "I think it could just go on and on. I'm not [going to leave]," she said.

"I just want to see brilliant entertaining people that are layered, you know, you pull back the layers and they're more interesting and more interesting, and you're still getting great conversations right at the end of the series."

As for Christmas, Davina revealed that she and husband Matthew will be spending it at his parents' home in America, "with all my kids and the cousins."

Popsugar

Did you watch Dead Set last night?

Davina dying was a bit upsetting wasn't it? :(

But she makes a very good zombie so all's well that ends well, really.

The show continues nightly at 10pm on E4 and word has it that wasn't the last we see of Davina's 'character' in the show -- expect for her pop up throughout the series doing some very shocking things.

Yes, more shocking than feasting on human intestines.

Crikey!

Are you Dead Set on watching?

Just a reminder that Dead Set starts tonight at 10pm on E4.

The first episode is 70 minutes long (including adverts) but continues in 30 minute instalments at the same time for the rest of the week.

The first episode sees Davina evicting the latest Housemate from the fictional Big Brother series, which is when it all starts to go wrong.

And if you want some high quality (1MB, 2000px) images of ZombieDavina head on over to our forums which have recently had a big of a software upgrade (we'll work on the hideous design later.) You'll need to register to view content, but that's okay because there's lots to see.

Charlie on Davina

Dead Set creater and writer Charlie Brooker talks about Davina's role as a zombie.

Happy Birthday Davina!

Many happy returns on your 41st birthday.

More information on ZombieDavina's cameo

Dead Set, the E4 drama series which see's Davina play an interesting version of herself, launches on Monday October 27th and will run across five nights.

The DVD follows one week later on Monday 3rd November and includes a 'Davina McKill' featurette -- an interview with Davina McCall on her iconic cameo role.

And there's been praise for Davina's acting in the horror thriller series.

Broadcast Now mentions that "on the evidence of the first episode, [Davina] pulls it off, playing it straight and believable while still enjoying an over-the-top 'death' sequence before transforming into a zombie."

The review continues: "It works because she is part of a large ensemble that uses the Big Brother format as a setting for a thrilling piece of drama, not the be-all and end-all of the joke."

Usually gorgeous Davina, 40, makes a cameo appearance in a zombie spin-off of Big Brother — and meets a grisly end.

The five-part thriller Dead Set — which starts on E4 later this month — sees Britain terrorised by the undead.

Only Big Brother’s contestants are unaware of the horrors in the outside world.

Jaime Winstone, 22, stars as a Big Brother production runner.

Warning: Contains graphic blood and gore.

Dead Set teaser trailer

Davina dead set on becoming a zombie

Back in June Davina declared in an interview: "I'm so not going to be an actress. I can't act."

However, she went on to reveal that she was "doing a cameo role in a movie playing myself as a zombie."

Well, it turns out that Davina's cameo is in fact in a new E4 series called Dead Set, created and written by journalist and presenter Charlie Brooker.

The show is five-part horror thriller set in and around the Big Brother House, which is one of the only places unaffected by a deadly virus.

However, Davina -- who can be seen in her usual eviction role with the fake housemates, filmed during Big Brother 9 -- soon finds herself as a reanimated human corpse feasting on intestines. Lovely.

Then for the rest of the week Davina will be the guest host of Big Brother's Big Mouth on E4 (10pm or 11pm), culminating in another BBLB appearance on Friday followed by the two-part final of Big Brother 2008 (C4, 8pm and 10pm) and the final 50-minute BBBM of the series afterwards on E4 (11pm).

Davina and Steve exchange compliments

Davina teamed up with T4 presenter Steve Jones to host Davina & Steve's 20 Big Ones, the first show to be broadcast on new satellite channel 4Music today, and the pair had nothing but good things to say about each other.

Davina said: "I love Steve! He make it so easy and we've just got a very good rapport, the more I work with him the better it gets. I do hope I get to work with him again."

"There was one surprise during the recording - Steve dressed as a builder, doing pelvic thrusts and humming along to Benny Benassi's 'Satisfaction' was a particular high point for me... should I tell Fearne [Cotton, Steve's rumoured girlfriend] or will you?!" she added.

And Steve was equally complimentary about his co-presenter. "For me and Davina to present the first show on [4Music], it's a true honour. I love working with Davina and really enjoy being on screen with her," he said.

Watch again: Would I Lie To You?

Davina appeared earlier tonight on BBC comedy panel show Would I Lie To You? and if you missed it you can catch it again for the next seven days on BBC iPlayer.

Here's a short clip to whet your appetite.

Warning: Contains strong language. Only available to UK residents.

Davina to launch 4Music

According to heatworld.com, Davina McCall will be joining T4 host Steve Jones to launch Channel 4's new music channel, imaginatively titled 4Music.

The channel, which replaces The Hits on all platforms, will kick off on Friday 15 August at 7pm with Davina and Steve counting down 20 of the biggest hits from the brightest stars in music.

Available on Freeview ch. 18. Thanks to Skinally.

Would Davina lie to you?

If one dose of Davina on a Friday night at 9pm wasn't enough, we're treated to a double helping on August 1st as she appears as a guest of BBC comedy panel show 'Would I Lie To You?'

If you're unfamiliar with the format, the idea is that two teams of celebrities compete head-to-head with players revealing facts and personal tales which may or may not be true. The name of the game is for the opposing team to weed the true from the false.

The series is hosted by Angus Deayton.

Word reaches us that Davina is on comedian Lee Mack's team along with Jason Manford, while Peep Show's David Mitchell captains alongside Michael Aspel and Dara Ó Briain on the other team.

With Davina on two channels at the same time, we're just thankful for PVRs with twin tuners, Channel 4+1 and BBC iPlayer.

'Would I Lie To You?', BBC One, Friday August 1st at 9pm. Thanks to Skinally for the information.

Davina favourite to front new 'Blind Date'

We all know Davina loves a good romance, as proved by her obsession with housemates getting together on Big Brother, her stint as host on Love on a Saturday Night and not forgetting her first foray into mainstream telly, Streetmate.

Now, with ITV resurrecting Blind Date for a new series, minus Cilla Black, Davina has emerged as the favourite to front it with bookmakers offering odds of 6/1 for her to take over hosting duties.

It's thought she'd fit it in between Big Brother and Celebrity Big Brother.

A source told The Sun: "There's no reason why she couldn't do Big Brother and Blind Date as well.

"She's been having a long hard think about her career path - getting a new agent and looking at new areas."

The show is apparently being reworked by none other than Simon Cowell, with Davina's mate Dermot O'Leary, along with Ant & Dec, also linked to the role.

Should it go ahead, the show is expected to air in 2009.

Temporary website launched

We don't know about you but we got literally sick at looking at the old website.

So, while we work hard behind the scenes on the all-new, full Davina McCall website we've knocked up this temporary version which hopefully won't make us want to claw our eyes out quite so much.

As always, the forums are open to air your views (and take the opportunity to see all sorts of high-resolution images and scans if you're a member) plus we've got a new YouTube channel so you can keep up with all the latest Davina appearances.

And don't forget to vote for Davina in this year's National Television Awards. You'll find the link on the left of the website (you can't miss it!).

Davina for Strictly Come Dancing?

Davina was among a group of celebrities snapped at a secret BBC meeting in a London hotel this week, reports the Daily Record.

The stars, also including Leigh Francis (Bo' Selecta), Richard Hammond (Top Gear) and June Sarpong (T4) remained tight lipped about what they were doing in London's Soho Hotel, but the presence of Strictly professional dancer Flavia Cacace was a possible hint.

As was the attendance of Kelly Brook, a hot favourite to win the 2007 series who had to pull out due to the death of her father, possibly given a second chance.

It's not the first time Davina's named has been mentioned in relation to Strictly Come Dancing, with reports last year suggesting Davina herself expressed an interest in taking part.

Could Davina be donning those sequins for a turn on the dancefloor? The official line-up will be revealed in a matter of weeks.

Watch Davina on The Paul O'Grady Show

As promised, Davina made an appearance on The Paul O'Grady Show yesterday and this time she didn't have an excerise DVD to plug, instead focussing mostly on the new series of Big Brother.

Katie Holmes is Davina's fashion heroine

Davina plans to shake up her wardrobe when it comes to sending housemates packing on this year's Big Brother as she ditches those black outfits in favour of something more stylish.

Davina names Tom Cruise's missus Katie Holmes as her current style icon and has instructed her stylish AJ to "channel Katie Holmes" when she dresses her for evictions this summer.

She said: "My favourite style icon of the moment would be Katie Holmes. I love what she's wearing so I said to my stylist 'think Katie Holmes, channel Katie Holmes'."

Davina is often criticized for her lack of adventure when it comes to her eviction night outfits, although she claims it's so she doesn't drawn attention away from the evictee.

She added: "AJ, my stylist, is absolutely awesome at picking out clothes for me. She's my Gok Wan."

She also revealed how she almost got her nipple pierced but was talked out of it by husband Matthew.

Catch Davina on The Paul O'Grady Show next Monday and on Big Brother on from Thursday June 5.

Two To Watch

Davina will be appearing on The Paul O'Grady Show on Monday 2nd June at 5.00pm to promote the new series of Big Brother which launches on Thursday 5th June at 9pm, both on Channel 4 and an hour later on Channel 4+1.

Davina reveals some BB9 tidbits

It's been a while since we've had some Davina treats around these parts, except for those wonderful Garnier adverts that everybody loves, but with Big Brother 9 just around the corner it's time for her to start running the press gauntlet once more, starting with this video.

In it Davina lets the soon-to-be housemates know that it's no more Mr. Nice Big Brother, that the house is not some holiday camp and that rule-breaking will be met with severe punishment.

Regarde:

And look out for Davina on The Paul O'Grady Show soon. We'll have an exact date nearer the time and with any luck a nice video for you as well.

U.S. woos Davina McCall

BIG Brother star Davina McCall has been offered a mammoth US telly gig, TV Biz can reveal.

The 40-year-old is holding top secret talks with head honchos across the Pond.

Insiders say it is likely she is being lined up for shows with a reality or talent format.

Happy New Year

Hi there.

We fell off the face of the Earth for a couple of months, but we managed to hitch a ride back from some nice fella called Zork.

We've been promising a facelift for this place since 387BC, but we're hoping to actually honour our word for once by actually and physically doing something to this website in the next few weeks.

Meanwhile, not that much has been happening in Davina-land, apart from an appearance guest presenting The Friday Night Christmas Project a week or two back, though if you're still visiting here the forum is probably the best place to get up-to-date news of future TV and press appearances thanks to the magical pixies what frequent it and that.

Cheerio for now.

There's no such thing as a Gruffalo.

As part of Channel 4's Lost For Words season, with the aim of helping children become better at reading, a whole host of celebrities have come together to promote the cause by reading extracts from their favourite children's books.

As you may have seen from the television spots, our very own Davina is one of those celebs and we have a full clip of Davina reading 'The Gruffalo'.

Naturally, what with having three young children, she's very good!

Happy Birthday, Davina!

Yes, it's 'Davina McCall - Birthday Girl', as our favourite telly presenter turns 40 today!

We were planning on celebrating with a brand-spanking new website for her, but as per our usual luck, our hosting decided to have a last minute fit and now we're just seeing lots of code, which is most definitely not as good as seeing lots of Davina.

But worry not - it's designed, it's built, it's even got some content...we just need somewhere to put it.

Anyway, have a good one, Davina! Sorry we didn't get you anything in the end. We are rubbish. :(

Video Clip: Davina on French & Saunders

In case you missed it or just want to watch again, here's a clip of that Davina sketch from French & Saunders.

Yummy Mummy Tummy

When there's a poll doing the rounds about celebrity mums, you just know Davina's name is going to crop up.

This time Davina's finished fifth in a poll to find the yummiest celebrity mummy, which was carried out by children's cancer charity CLIC Sargent to mark National Yummy Mummy Week, polling 10% of 1000 votes.

She just lost out to the likes of Nigella Lawson, Myleene Klass, Angelina Jolie and Kate Winslet, but finished higher than Victoria Beckham.

And it was better news for Davina in the Tummy Mummy category - for the mum that managed to hold on to her appeal during pregnancy - as she finished second.

Myleene came first, while Davina this time beat Angelina and Kate, as well as Elizabeth Hurley.

Davina's third child, Chester, celebrated his first birthday on Friday. Aw.

For the full article from The Daily Record, click here.

In other news, it's been announced that Davina will be putting out a new fitness DVD entitled 'Davina - High Energy Five' which will be released on December 3rd.

With thanks to Anteater and Skinally for the information.

A-M-A-Z-I-N-G

Forget that French & Saunders cameo, THIS is where it's at, Davina lovers.

Yes, it's the new Garnier Nutrisse Creme advert featuring Davina and she looks so stunning that we were delayed in making this post due to our eyeballs popping out of their sockets.

Apologies for that rather graphic sentence, by the way.

If you've yet to see it, you've got one of two options:

- Stay tuned to the tellybox in the hope of catching a glimpse (and/or any repeat glimpses) of the ad.

- Head on over to this fabulous website and begin streaming the clip (making sure to go back to the beginning to watch it all over again. And again. And again.)

We're doing both.

Ah. Heaven.

It's just another manic update

O, HAI!

No, we haven't forgotten about The Lovely Davina™, we've just been posting what little news and developments there have been in the months while her life has been taken over by Big Brother duties, over in our forums.

But now she's off our screens (BOO!) and not doing Celebrity Big Brother in January (DOUBLE BOO!) due to its axing, we'll be spending our days browsing television listings in the hope of finding an appearance.

We're looking...we're looking....browsing...scanning...aaannnddd...BINGO!

On Friday 14th September, Davina will be appearing in French & Saunders' new show on BBC One, where the listings say she'll be playing the role of their mentor when the comediennes attempt to graduate from the Presenters' Academy in time to present the French and Saunders Academy Awards.

We couldn't thinking of a better mentor for that task.

Make sure you tune in. It's called "A Bucket O' French and Saunders", BeeTeeDoubleYou.

And we'll make sure we post more often. And probably upgrade this website, too. It's gotten a bit stale and isn't really good enough for The Lovely Davina™.

P.S. Check out our Simpsonizing of Davina in our forums.

P.P.S. Thanks to alexdavina for the French & Saunders info.

Davina NOT quitting BB

Davina attended the television BAFTAs last night, and took the opportunity to rubbish recent tabloid rumours that Big Brother 8 would be her last.

Video courtesy of Digital Spy.

Now TWICE as much Davina

From The Sun:

BIG Brother beauty Davina McCall will be hosting a new Sunday night programme for the eighth series of the reality show, TV Biz can reveal.

Davina, 39, will front an hour-long show called Big Brother On The Couch — which sees psychologists analysing contestants’ behaviour.

The show will replace the Saturday night update when Big Brother 8 kicks off on May 30. It will be followed by an hour-long BB update covering the Friday night eviction.

Channel 4 chiefs axed the Saturday night show as it fares badly against BBC1 and ITV in the entertainment ratings war.

Davina’s new show will be an in-depth look at the week’s news from the Big Brother house as she discusses events with the psychology experts.

A show insider said: “Big Brother fans will love it — it’s the perfect night in.

“On the couch will be a round-up of what’s happening in the house and Davina’s take on the week. She’ll be joined by names from the world of psychology to help work out the housemates’ behaviour.”

Meanwhile, the new Big Brother presenter press shots - including Davina's first since 2005 - have been released. Hi-resolution images are now in the media section of the forums (you must be registered to view.)

Davina to quit after Big Brother 8?

From the Daily Mail:

Big Brother presenter Davina McCall will quit the Channel 4 reality show after the next series.

The 39-year-old mum-of-three has been the face of the show for the last seven years, but it is understood that she wants to move on and work on other TV projects.

Davina, who has fronted BB since its first showing back in 2000, is thought to be sorry to leave the show, which is made by production company Endemol, but is excited about moving on to other things.

A source close to the former Streetmate presenter said: "Davina loves doing Big Brother but she knows when enough is enough.

"She enjoys the show and is very fond of everyone she works with but wants to spread her wings and go on to something different.

Davina agony over sick baby

The following extract is from an article by Emma Donnan for the Sunday People newspaper.

DISTRAUGHT Davina McCall made a dramatic dash back from holiday to seek urgent medical help for her sick baby son.

The Big Brother presenter cut short a family break in Mauritius when eight-month-old Chester suffered breathing difficulties.

Frantic Davina and hubby Matthew Robinson whisked their tot to a Harley Street specialist who got the problem under control.

A source said: "They were beside themselves with worry about Chester."

The couple were relaxing before mum-of-three Davina hosts the eighth series of BB starting on May 30.

They had already cancelled two holidays because they were worried about Chester.

When the problem flared up again in Mauritius last week they raced home five days early.

The source said: "It meant a rather unsatisfactory end to Davina's last family holiday before her busy summer schedule.

"But the only thing on her and Matthew's mind was the health of their child."

For the rest of the article click here.

Davina's stalker hell

The following extract is from an article by Tom Carlin for the People newspaper.

TV PRESENTER Davina McCall was left terrified after a crazed stalker called at her luxury home in the middle of the night.

The nut had already plagued the Big Brother star with a series of chilling phone calls.

But she was horrified when he buzzed the intercom at her isolated house and whispered sinisterly: "I'm here, I'm here."

Davina dialled 999 but the stalker had vanished by the time cops raced to her £2million house.

A source close to Davina said last night: "She has been really spooked by this man. He has left her worried sick."

Mum-of-three Davina, 39, and hubby Matthew Robertson have now consulted security experts about installing toplevel CCTV cameras and panic alarms at their home in leafy stockbroker belt at Woldingham, Surrey.

They have also imposed strict curfews on their children - Holly, five, Tilly, three and six-month-old Chester - and banned them from going out alone with the family's two nannies.

For the rest of the article click here.

Davina talks sex

The following extract is from an article by Debbie Pogue for The Mirror newspaper.

INSTEAD of waiting until she felt ready, Davina McCall caved in to pressure and had sex way too early.

Rather than it being a special moment, she threw her virginity away. And she bitterly regrets it.

"I lost my virginity at too young an age," admits Davina, speaking exclusively to the Mirror. "I won't say how young in case my granny is reading this!

"I got cajoled into it - as many young girls do.

"If I'd had the sort of education that is on offer now I probably would have had the strength to say no.

"I vaguely remember having one sex education lesson once, which didn't even attempt to put it in the context of a loving relationship.

"This came at an age where we'd been reading Harold Robbins books under the duvet with a torch, so we'd already picked up the wrong end of the stick anyway."

No wonder she feels so strongly about the compulsory introduction of Personal and Social Health Education (PSHE) in schools.

She even argues the case in Friday's Channel 4 show, Let's Talk Sex, hoping it will spark a national debate.

For the rest of the article, click here.

And don't forget, if you missed the series when it was originally broadcast last year in Channel 4's morning learning slot, you can see Let's Talk Sex, fronted by Davina, tonight at 8pm.

Davina for top Celeb Mum!

Remember last year, when the shortlist for the Celebrity Mum of the Year was announced, which saw Davina placed right at the bottom of the voting list?

Well, then, you'll also remember that she came just seventh with 4% of the votes, losing out to Sharon Osbourne and a host of other yummy mummies who were, coincidently, placed right near the top of the long-scrolly page of scrolly-ness.

Lazy voters...

Anyhow, we're at an advantage this year as they've put Davina right at the top. Huzzah!

And let's not forget she's got another child to take care of since last year's vote, automatically making her a more brilliant mother due to statistics and that sort of thing.

Meanwhile, last year's winning celebrity mum, Mrs O, has missed out on a place on this year's shortlist - we're not sure if previous winners are excluded to make it fairer, but we've concluded they realised they did Davina a major disservice in 2006, and are putting it right for 2007...better late than never.

So, pop along to this page and put in your vote (or votes depending on how much time you've got on your hands) and give the right lady the title...we mean Davina, if you got lost under all this waffle.

Thankyouplease!

Davina on Charlotte

Davina will be appearing on The Charlotte Church Show, it's been announced.

Last year, Charlotte appeared as a guest on Davina's own chat show, but our Dav will return the favour for Charlotte's new run, now airing on Channel 4.

It's unknown if Davina will go as far as performing a song with Charlotte, but we remain hopeful.

Davina can be seen on The Charlotte Church Show next Friday (March 2) at 10pm.

What will be confined to Room 101?

Just a reminder that Davina McCall's appearance on Room 101 will be shown tonight at 10pm on BBC Two.

The blurb reads: "Paul Merton hosts the chat show in which guests are given the opportunity to rid the world of the things they hate. Davina McCall attempts to persuade Paul to send all space travel, all male world leaders and the music of Frank Sinatra into Room 101."

If you miss it, don't worry - it's repeated at 12.05am on Saturday night on BBC Two.

And, in other news, keep your eyes glued to the music channels - after her appearance in McFly's 'All About You' video for the last Comic Relief, she's at it again.

This time Davina's managed to get a cameo in the video for Girls Aloud vs Sugababes 'Walk This Way', the official Comic Relief single for 2007.

In the clip, she's seen strutting down a catwalk with various other celebrity faces as the two popular girl groups go head to head with each other.

It's hilarious, trust us.

Ugly Davina

If you were watching Celebrity Big Brother last night you might have witnessed the hilarious pre-show teaser which featured Davina dressed head-to-toe as the lead character from the new US comedy drama 'Ugly Betty'.

If you used the ad break to go to the toilet or make a cuppa you missed a right treat, but worry not - we have the visual evidence for your eyes.

Just click on the image to the right to enlarge.

And if you haven't a clue who Ugly Betty is, click here.

Well, it's a look...!

Don't forgot, there's lots more HQ shots of Davina in our forums - joining is easy.

Are you excited?

Because we flaming well are!

Yes, tonight's the night when Celebrity Big Brother returns for its fifth series, but while most people are busy wondering who the celebrity housemates are going to be, we're all champing at the bit to get out first glimpse of Ms Davina McCall, the undisputed Queen of British TV.

It's been five months since she greeted Big Brother 7 winner Pete Bennett at the bottom of the stairs to the Big Brother House, and four months since she gave birth to her third child - and first son - Chester.

But now, after a couple of event appearances, Davina is ready to get back into the saddle and guide the new celebrities into those famous doors.

Make sure you're sat in front of the tellybox at 8pm sharp to hear her utter that one-liner we've all come to expect and love.

Usually, a 30-second teaser is broadcast fifteen minutes prior to the live shows starting on Channel 4, but with the earlier-than-usual start, and the news preceding Big Brother, we're not sure of the likelihood.

Our tip: watch from 7.45pm anyway!

Happy Davina watching!

Davina's return to AA meetings

Taken from the Daily Star:

STRESSED Davina McCall is reportedly going back to Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.

She fears her pressured lifestyle could make her turn to drink again.

The Big Brother host, 39, has just had a third baby and also had to put up with massive criticism following her flop chat show.

Another BBC show, He's Having A Baby, was also axed from the schedules.

And the pressure, combined with having to kick off Celebrity Big Brother in a week, means she is considering going back to AA sessions.

She confided in a friend: "I'm worried it’s getting too much for me again. I'm back at work soon and the temptation to have a drink when I'm stressed could be a problem.

"It's better that I start dealing with things now, rather than getting further down the line."

Davina TV's most watched female

A report by Media Planning Group has found Davina to be the most watched female television presenter on British screens.

The report claims that a whopping 30,763,557 viewers -a 56% share - have seen Davina at some point throughout 2006, thanks to 'Davina', 'Sport Relief' plus, of course, 'Big Brother' and its celebrity counterpart.

Her nearest rival on the female list was X-Factor host Kate Thornton, who was seen by some 27m people, followed by Strictly Come Dancing's Tess Daly (26.3m) and This Morning hostess-with-the-mostess Fern Britton (26.2m).

However, on the overall list Davina finished an impressive fourth, behind third-place Phillip Schofield (32.4m), second-place Chris Tarrent (32.9m) and the most watched presenter on British television in 2006, Gary Lineker, who was seen by 36.5m thanks to his coverage of the World Cup.

The list also revealed that while most of the big hitters were over 45, our Davina is a spritely 39-year-old, and the youngest in the Top 5.

And for those of you bitter that Ant and Dec always win the NTA award over our Davina, they came only eighth with 26.5m viewers and a 48.3% share. Zing!

Not bad going for someone with the "turkey of the year" to their name, is it.

(PS. Merry Christmas, Davina, Matthew, Holly, Tilly and Chester.)

Davina on Room 101

The BBC's Press Office has confirmed that Davina will be appearing on BBC Two's 'Room 101', where celebrity guests are invited to discuss their pet hates with host Paul Merton in order to have them consigned to Room 101.

She'll be on the fifth show in the series after the likes of Cilla Black, Marcus Brigstocke, Nigel Havers and Mark Steel chat about the things that get their goat.

The series kicks off on January 5, meaning Davina will more than likely appear on the show on Friday February 2, providing the show isn't moved around in the schedules.

According to the Press Office: "Davina condemns all of Frank Sinatra's music to the daunting prospect of entering Room 101 which she hopes will mean an end to all the karaoke Sinatra impersonators in pubs and clubs."

Ooh-err!

Davina will also choose four other items to be sent into Room 101, with the host then deciding what to let in and what to keep out - with a little help from the studio audience, of course.

Davina on Room 101, Friday February 2 2007, BBC Two, 10pm.

Maternity leave is over!

It's been a long time since we last posted any news, but Davina's been kept busy looking after new-born son Chester and two daughters Holly and Tilly, meaning there's been nothing much to post.

Until now, that is.

Yes, Celebrity Big Brother will return to our screens on Wednesday January 3rd 2007 for its fifth series, and we don't need to tell you that Davina will once again guide the new batch of celebrities into the newly-redecorated Big Brother house.

Expect some promo spots on This Morning and The Paul O'Grady Show (or Richard & Judy, depending on which one's on air) to build up the hype in the coming weeks.

A new publicity shot has just been released - just click on the image to your left to enlarge.

And if that's not enough, Davina will appear as a guest on BBC Two's 'Room 101' which returns for a six-week run from January 5th. We'll let you know which week is Davina's nearer the time.

And finally, an article in Broadcast magazine named Davina's 'not-given-a-fair-chance' chat show as the television "turkey" of the year.

We won't get too upset - Davina labelled 'Davina' a turkey at the National Television Awards a couple of months ago, although Broadcast's opinion that she was "out of her depth" slightly irks us - some better guests wouldn't have gone amiss, BBC, plus the media wasn't too kind which put off potential viewers.

Luckily for our Davina, the 'golden goose' that is Big Brother was named as one of the year's TV high-points.

Hurrah.

MILF!

Davina has beaten the likes of Angelina Jolie and Jordan in a poll to find the sexiest celebrity mum.

She's just turned 39 this week and recently had baby No.3 - little Chester, a brother to Holly, 5 and Tilly, 3.

But a poll of 2,500 people for MUM Deodorant found Davina to be the sexiest of the all-star mums, with Madonna in second and Sharon Osbourne in third.

Rest of the top ten: Tess Daly, Rachel Hunter, Victoria Beckham, Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Kate Moss and Katie Price.

Davina needs YOU! Part II

Quite a while ago we informed you that Davina was once again in the running to win Best Entertainment Presenter at the National Television Awards.

Well, once again she's made the shortlist thanks to YOUR votes, but now it's your job to make her the winner.

As always there's some stiff competition from the likes of Ant & Dec (who always win it - bor-ing!), Noel Edmonds, Jonathan Ross and Paul O'Grady.

"Oh," we hear you sigh.

But she's not defeated yet, no siree - let's vote the only woman in the category, our Davina, as the number one Entertainment Presenter, because let's face it...she is.

Just head on over to the official NTA website and place your votes before October 31st.

Do it NOW!

Many happy returns!

Yes, because today is Davina's birthday - so 'Happy Birthday', Davina, from all of us at the website!

And just how many years young is she, we hear you ask?

Where are your manners, young man, didn't your mother teach you never to ask a lady her age, etc, etc!

Well, to celebrate Davina's 39th year on Planet Earth (you're fired - Ed), we've relaunched the news system meaning it'll be lots easier to update the site with wonderful goodies - and more often, too.

But for now, join us in our forums to wish Davina a very happy birthday.

The Trilogy is complete

Well, she said the baby was due on September 14th and she was spot on.

Last night Davina gave birth to a bouncing baby boy at her home in Surrey, weighing 10lbs 2oz.

A "delighted" Davina and Matthew have named their first son Chester, a brother for Holly, 4, and Tilly, 2.

Davina's spokeswoman confirmed: "Davina had a natural home birth just as she did with Holly and Tilly."

"There were no complications and everything went smoothly. Mother and baby are doing well."

Congratulations Davina, Matthew, Holly and Tilly from all of us at the website.

Toast the new baby with us on our forums.

Time goes by...quite quickly, actually

Well, it's been literally YEARS since we last updated the website...OK, months - but it feels like years.

Big Brother is now well and truly over for another year, and the ever-lovely Davina is expecting her third child any day now.

We'll be implimenting a new news system soon, which means updates will occur more often and will be lots easier to do.

Meanwhile, life in the forums carries on as usual - join our regulars Anteater3, daddysgirl and macca, plus a few others, for the latest Davina chat...you'll not find a better Davina community online.

Bloomin' Marvellous

She once proudly wore a T-shirt boasting 'Big Mutha', and yesterday Davina McCall certainly looked it.

In these pictures it is obvious the presenter's third child is due any day now, and the strain of pregnancy shows.

As she got into a car near her home yesterday the 38-year-old had her hair scraped back in a makeshift bun and wore no make-up.

She was wearing a green maternity T-shirt with the word 'Sunshine' on it and a long black skirt which clung tightly to her massive bump.

A multicoloured bag covered with cartoons was slung over her shoulder.

The Big Brother presenter was also sporting a pair of bright pink Crocs clogs - the latest fashion must-have which other celebrities including Desperate Housewives star Terri Hatcher have been snapped wearing.

For the rest of this article, head on over to the Daily Mail website.

And click here for the latest picture of the heavily pregnant Davina.

Davina needs YOU!

It's that time of year again - the National Television Awards are coming.

Once again, the lovely Davina is nominated in the Best Entertainment Personality category, and it is your duty to vote for her!

Head on over to the NTA website to have your say.

There's twelve other categories to vote in, too, which may take some time - but Davina's worth it!

Also, don't forget that as well as Big Brother's live eviction shows this Friday, you can see Davina co-hosting the Sport Relief 2006 event with Chris Evans.

It begins at 7.00pm on BBC One this Saturday (15th July). Don't miss it!

To Davina and Matthew

A quick post to say congratulations to Davina and Matthew who celebrate their sixth wedding anniversary today.

Sixth wedding anniversary gifts traditionally have a theme of Iron and Sugar - perfect for a pregnant Davina's food cravings.

Well done, guys.

Presenter of the Year

Our Davina has been named Presenter of the Year at a glitzy showbiz event.

She was honoured at the Glamour Women of the Year awards in London last night.

She attended the event with husband Matthew looking about two months more pregnant than she did on Friday's Big Brother.

They do say that black, Davina's trademark Big Brother eviction colour, makes you look slimmer, but flipping 'eck, Dav!

Well done, mate. Pictures here.

Davina's our top flatmate

The People newspaper reports that Davina is the person most Brits would like to have as a flatmate.

A poll revealed that 45 per cent of people quizzed thought Ms. McCall's cool style and bubbly personality would make her great to live with.

Davina beat Microsoft mogul Bill Gates. But 23 per cent voted for him because they knew he could pay his way.

Make a date with Davina

Firstly, apologies for the lack of updates in recent weeks, we've been busy with other projects.

The good news is that Davina's back on television, after finishing her chatshow last month, returning tonight to host the Baftas on ITV1.

The show is on in two parts - 9.00pm to 10.30pm, and 11.00pm to 11.30pm. Expect to see Davina hanging about backstage on ITV2, as well.

Then on Thursday 18th May, Davina's back to doing what she does best, as Big Brother returns for a seventh series. And we'll get more Davina than ever before, as the show runs for a massive 13 weeks.

Don't worry about Davina giving birth live on TV - she's not due until one month after the Big Brother finale. But, as she'll be having a home birth, she'll be taking a 'birthing bag' with her to the eviction shows - just incase.

And in July, as previously mentioned, Davina will be co-hosting BBC's massive Sport Relief event. The press launch occured last week, and you can view some great photos here.

What have we done to deserve so much Davina goodness? It's going to be a great few months.

Davina defends Davina

Presenter Davina McCall has defended her BBC One chat show following media criticism and poor ratings.

McCall, who saw viewing figures drop from 3.5m viewers to as low as 2.3m over the course of the series, said she remained "really proud" of the show.

She told BBC Five Live: "It was a light entertainment programme that was put in the toughest slot on the BBC."

McCall said the "depressing" coverage of the show had affected her so much she had stopped reading newspapers.

Big Brother presenter McCall added that the reviews had made her work "really difficult" and had affected morale among the show's team.

She said she felt it had been her "turn" to receive negative coverage.

"I'm not going to lie and say it hasn't affected me at all because it does," said the 38-year-old star.

"But people, members of the public, come up to me and say is everything alright so I kind of inadvertently get it through them.

Meanwhile, we've added two new clips to the video page. Thanks to forum member Anteater for pointing them out.

Davina's sport relief

Our very own Miss McCall has been chosen to front this year's Sport Relief event along with Chris Evans.

Despite not having huge hits with recent BBC shows, bosses still seem to like Davina and selected her to front the major fund-raiser for the channel in July.

One BBC insider told The Mirror newspaper: "Davina is brilliant in her interviews with the evicted Big Brother contestants - we reckon she'll be just as good fronting a Saturday night entertainment marathon."

"Chris has proved himself by successfully hosting the Brits, which is no mean feat, and he does a live radio show every week."

"Together we think they'll be an unbeatable team - which is great because it's all for a good cause."

A BBC spokeswoman said: "Chris and Davina have both contributed to Sport Relief in the past, so they were a natural choice for presenters. It should be good fun with the pair of them on the night."

Davina four months pregnant

The latest issue of Heat features an interview with Davina in which she confirms she's four months pregnant.

She told Heat magazine the good news: “I can proudly confirm that I’m pregnant. I was very nervous about the news getting out before my 12 week check up."

"I balloon when I'm pregnant - or it's what people politely call 'blooming'"

"But the scan was fine, so I can let it all hang out - and, believe me, I will!”

"I’m coming up to 17 weeks and Matthew and I are very excited. Bring it on!”

'Davina' likely to be axed

The last episode of the series airs next week, but it's just been announced that it could be the last one ever.

The show debuted on BBC One eight weeks ago to an audience of 3.5m, but it's since lost over a million of those in the tough 8pm slot.

It's understood the BBC's decision not to commission another series of Davina was made before the Big Brother host revealed she was pregnant.

According to reports, however, a formal decision will only be made after the show ends its current run, although 'insiders' have 'confirmed' it wouldn't return.

The BBC has insisted that "no decision has been taken" and that "we have always said that no decision will be made until the show is off air".

A source told the Daily Mail newspaper: "The 8pm slot she's in is very, very tough. She's up against Coronation Street on ITV and Davina knew that from the outset."

"It's difficult to see how we could change the format and it won't be moved to another slot."

"To make matters worse, since it got off to such a bad start, celebrities aren't exactly clamouring to appear - like they do with Jonathan Ross or Parky. They don't want to be associated with failure."

"To her credit, Davina has settled in and improved as a host. She's pretty realistic about the show's fate but is glad that she gave it a go."

Do you think 'Davina' has been given a fair go? Are you glad to see it go, or do you think it should be given a second chance? Join our forums and let us know.

Congratulations, Davina!

There were rumours, but never an official announcement.

But on last night's show Davina asked guest Will Young - who said he often has premonitions - if she was 'having a boy or a girl' while touching her already noticable bump, putting an end to weeks of speculation.

We noticed the bump weeks ago, but didn't want to say anything incase she'd been 'eating all the pies' instead. Phew!

What this will mean for Big Brother, however, is unknown. It's possible she could 'drop her sprog' before the end, meaning someone else will have to take over.

Unthinkable!

Davina is back

After a short break, Davina's chatshow returns tonight on BBC One at 8pm, with guests including funny woman Dawn French and singer Will Young (who performs his new single 'Who Am I') plus more music from Mary J Blige.

And in other news Davina has been chosen as host of this year's BAFTA TV Awards, taking place on Sunday 7th May.

PS. Apologies for the mistake which meant this page has been unavailable to view over the past few days. The pesky gremlin responsible has now been exterminated.

Ms M. loses out to Mrs. O!

Davina lost out to six other celebrity mothers in a poll to find the Celebrity Mum of the Year 2006.

Bummer.

The poll, conducted by Freemans, was won by X Factor judge, and mum to three grown-up kids Jack, Kelly and Aimee, Sharon Osbourne. She received 25% of the public vote.

Our Davina, meanwhile, perhaps suffered from being shoved to the bottom of the voting list, receiving only 4% of the vote and claimed seventh place.

Still, it's not all bad as Victoria Beckham didn't even make the shortlist.

Here's the Top 10 list in full:

1. Sharon Osbourne (25%)
2. Jordan (16%)
3. Kate Moss (14%)
4. Duchess of Cornwall (10%)
5. Penny Lancaster (8%)
6. Melanie Sykes (7%)
7. Davina McCall (4%)
8. Louise Redknapp (4%)
9. Tess Daly (3%)
10. Lorraine Kelly (2%)

The show then takes a short break, returning in a fortnight on March 29th at 8.00pm.

Davina's voice one of UK's best

Davina's voice has been voted one of the UK's best, according to a Radio Times poll of nearly 5000 people.

Users of the magazine's website were asked to choose the nicest tones from 50 of the most distinctive voices in TV and radio.

On the female list, actress Joanna Lumley topped the chart, followed by Mariella Frostrup. Our Davina came third, ahead of newcasters Fiona Bruce and Kirsty Young.

Jo Whiley, Kate Thornton, Lorraine Kelly, Moira Stuart and Sue Lawley completed the Top 10.

Davina unveils waxwork double

Getty ImagesDavina today bacome the latest star to have a waxwork carved in her likeness, as her double was unveiled at Madame Tussaud's.

The interactive model - which cost £100,000 to make - allows fans to become Big Brother housemates living in the famous house.

Visitors will get the chance to be interviewed by Davina and enter a replica Diary Room where they can share an intimate encounter with Big Brother.

When confronted with the waxwork, she exclaimed: "Oh my God! It's quite weird, isn't it!" adding: "I think it's brilliant, it's even got my funny hand."

The interactive model has a number of sayings, including an adaptation of her famous catchprase: "Big Brother housemates, you are live at Madame Tussaud's. Please do not swear."

Davina has also recorded soundbites for her figure such as: "Congratulations, you were a brilliant Big Brother housemate" and "I was watching you in the Diary Room, you were so funny."

Getty ImagesA spokeswoman for Madame Tussaud's said: "The Big Brother Experience will give guests a once-in-a-lifetime chance to converse with Big Brother live while sitting on the famous diary room chair.

"They will get a taste of what it's like to exit the house when they are then invited onto the Big Brother stage to meet the bubbly presenter Davina McCall."

Davina's model is wearing an original black dress which she wore for the Big Brother 5 finale.

Meanwhile, when questioned by reporters about her rumoured pregnancy, she simply uttered "no comment", although kids were obviously on her mind when she made a beeline for a child who was at the attraction, saying: "Is that someone`s kid? He`s gorgeous."

Is Davina pregnant?

Reports in today's papers suggest that Davina is expecting her third child.

She was apparently overheard chatting to friends about her bulging tummy despite now having her new BBC chat show.

She was overheard saying: "We're having another baby and we're absolutely delighted.

"I'm so looking forward to having another baby. We are over the moon."

Davina already has two children with her hubby Matthew Robertson; Holly, 4 and Tilly, 2.

She recentley confessed that she'd been longing to give her husband a boy after having had two daughters.

However, fans of Big Brother have predicted Davina will miss out on presenting the new series this summer, as her suspected due date clashes with the final weeks.

She presented both Big Brother 2 and Big Brother 4 whilst heavily pregnant, giving birth on both occasions just two months after the finale.

Davina chats about her 'wild past'

Davina has said her wild past will help in her new role as a chat show queen.

She was almost killed by drug and alcohol addiction when she was younger, but then cleaned up her act.

She says her experiences will help when it comes to talking to troubled celebs, telling the Radio Times: "I've lived a lot, so I'll be able to say, `Been there, done that.'

"When I hear about friends who have relapsed and died, I'm very grateful to be around. Every day is borrowed time."

The first guests on "Davina" include Hotel Babylon actor Max Beesley, along with showbiz couple Tess Daly and Vernon Kay.

However, she denies claims she signed a £1m deal for the series. She said: "I have no contract. I'm just doing eight shows - I can't wait to get my teeth into it.

"I understand people will be gunning for me, and not everyone will like me. I'm doing all right, so I'm easy to knock.

"My grandmother tries to get me to do something more gritty than a chat show, but it's important to entertain people.

"Tony Blair probably doesn't want to watch Paxman or Andrew Marr. He'd prefer to kick off his shoes and see me."

Davina's boob job wish

Davina McCall is desperate for a boob job - because her breasts look like "socks with tennis balls in the end".

The TV presenter admits she would love to enhance her sagging assets - which she claims have been ruined by childbirth - but is terrified of the scars any enhancements might leave.

She said: "If I could do a no-scar operation to pump them up to a full B cup again, I'd do it. But I don't think they've perfected that yet.

"I remember bending down in the shower and seeing them look like socks with tennis balls in the end. I was like, 'My boobs are my crowning glory, where did they go?' Then I look at my two bonny babies and think, 'That's where they went.'"

Despite considering a breast enlargement, the 'Celebrity Big Brother' host says she has mixed feelings about cosmetic surgery.

She revealed to Britain's Grazia magazine: "Some days, I'm so anti-plastic surgery, and then I look at Sharon Osbourne and I've never seen money better spent. That woman looks awesome. But I couldn't do Botox, I don't like needles."
