Davina gets chatty at the NTAs

Despite not making the shortlist for Best Entertainment Presenter, Davina attended the National Television Awards last night as part of the Big Brother crew.
That lost out to Paul O'Grady in the Best Entertainment Show category, but on the red carpet before the event Davina had plenty to say about her life since the ninth series ended in August.
Speaking about E4 series Dead Set, in which plays a zombie version of herself, Davina commented that if she "had a list of ten things to do before I die, being a zombie would be on there" but was modest about her abilities as an actor.
She also confirmed that Celebrity Big Brother will return in January after a year's hiatus.
She said: "I'm so happy it's back and I think it was right to rest it and you know, it was the right thing to do, but now it's back and we're so excited."
As far as celebrity housemates go, Britney Spears and Paris Hilton would be on her wishlist -- "anybody that's going to be interesting and entertaining to watch."
She continued: "I'd love some old hip hop star like Flavor Flav or Chuck D, someone renegade, do you know what I mean?"
And it doesn't look like Davina will let go of Big Brother anytime soon. "I think it could just go on and on. I'm not [going to leave]," she said.
"I just want to see brilliant entertaining people that are layered, you know, you pull back the layers and they're more interesting and more interesting, and you're still getting great conversations right at the end of the series."
As for Christmas, Davina revealed that she and husband Matthew will be spending it at his parents' home in America, "with all my kids and the cousins."

Did you watch Dead Set last night?

Davina dying was a bit upsetting wasn't it? :(
But she makes a very good zombie so all's well that ends well, really.
The show continues nightly at 10pm on E4 and word has it that wasn't the last we see of Davina's 'character' in the show -- expect for her pop up throughout the series doing some very shocking things.
Yes, more shocking than feasting on human intestines.
Crikey!

Are you Dead Set on watching?

Just a reminder that Dead Set starts tonight at 10pm on E4.
The first episode is 70 minutes long (including adverts) but continues in 30 minute instalments at the same time for the rest of the week.
The first episode sees Davina evicting the latest Housemate from the fictional Big Brother series, which is when it all starts to go wrong.
And if you want some high quality (1MB, 2000px) images of ZombieDavina head on over to our forums which have recently had a big of a software upgrade (we'll work on the hideous design later.) You'll need to register to view content, but that's okay because there's lots to see.

More information on ZombieDavina's cameo

Dead Set, the E4 drama series which see's Davina play an interesting version of herself, launches on Monday October 27th and will run across five nights.
The DVD follows one week later on Monday 3rd November and includes a 'Davina McKill' featurette -- an interview with Davina McCall on her iconic cameo role.
And there's been praise for Davina's acting in the horror thriller series.
Broadcast Now mentions that "on the evidence of the first episode, [Davina] pulls it off, playing it straight and believable while still enjoying an over-the-top 'death' sequence before transforming into a zombie."
The review continues: "It works because she is part of a large ensemble that uses the Big Brother format as a setting for a thrilling piece of drama, not the be-all and end-all of the joke."
